BOYSEN® Clear Gloss Lacquer #1250 is a nitrocellulose, solvent-based, high gloss lacquer varnish finish that dries to an elegant and durable film.
PRINCIPAL USES: For interior sealed wood such as furniture, store fixtures, cabinets, doors and panels.
PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 25-30 square meter / 4 liters / coat
SURFACE DRY: 10 minutes
DRY THROUGH: 1 hour
DRY FILM THICKNESS: 1.5 mils / coat
OVERCOATING INTERVAL: Recoat after 30 minutes
APPLICATION: by air spray or natural hair paint brush (e.g., camel hair brush)
THINNING: BOYSEN® Lacquer Thinner #50
SURFACE PREPARATION:
1. Use only kiln dried wood.
2. Countersink nail heads for putty application.
3. Sand rough wood until smooth, then dust off before painting.
4. Surface to be painted should be clean and dry, free from dust, dirt and other foreign matter.
PAINTING SCHEDULE:
Sealer Coat: BOYSEN® Lacquer Sanding Sealer #1254, sanded lightly before topcoat application
Final coat: BOYSEN® Clear Gloss Lacquer #1250
(Note: Add BOYSEN® Lacquer Flo #1205 to final coat at approximately 10% by volume as a retardant to prevent moisture blushing.)
